Mold your own edible marzipan masterpiece!

At Marzipan Gallery, we offer a unique experience for talented needleworkers and daredevils alike. Our “edible plasticine” is made from classic marzipan with 30% almond content, and it’s perfect for developing finger motor skills while having fun. Both children and adults can enjoy sitting comfortably at a table, receiving a 40g ball of marzipan, paints, brushes, and special knives to let their imaginations run wild. With examples of figurines for inspiration, you can create your own unique masterpiece. Once you’re done, our staff will carefully pack your figurine so you can take it with you. Classic marzipan can be stored in a box and remain edible for up to a year. Whether you choose to eat your figurine or simply admire it is up to you!

Whether you’re looking to create a cute figure for yourself, receive guidance from our master and make a one-of-a-kind marzipan masterpiece as a gift, or test your friends group needlework skills by crafting all the same figure, the Old Tallinn Marzipan Gallery is the perfect destination.

General Modling

Each participant chooses to mold a figure of their choice. Before your eyes there are samples of figurines made by our master, but it is not at all necessary to mold something from the samples.

No booking needed (unlike other sculpting activities and guided tours for group visits).

Details

The cost: 5 euros.

On average, it is worth counting 30-40 minutes for general sculpting.

The price includes:

40 grams of marzipan for figurine modelling
Edible colors and special knives
Plastic box for product packaging.

General molding time for one person is not booked and is dependent on the availability of tables on the first floor of the Gallery.

Individual Molding

The Gallery employee works individually with one visitor, step by step, during the whole session. The modelling theme, i.e. which figure the visitor will mold, is determined when booking the modelling time at least 3 days in advance.

The cost of one lesson: 15 euros.

Lesson duration: 30 minutes.

The price includes:

40 grams of marzipan for modeling,
Sculpting and coloring of one product according to a predetermined program (all participants sculpt the same figures)
Plastic box for product packaging.

NB! The individual sculpting must be booked at least 3 days in advance.

Master Class

An employee of the Gallery works according to a pre-planned program, all participants in the lesson follow his instructions exactly: they mold the same figures. The theme of modeling is determined by the employee of the Gallery when booking, the wishes of the participants are taken into account, if possible.

Group: from 5 to 10 people.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

The title says it all. I actually don't like Marzipan, but we wondered around the old town of Tallinn and my wife just wanted to see the display. Then she convinced me to taste Pistachio Marzipan and I was totally blown away. My biggest regret from visiting Tallinn is not buying enough of this stuff.

This shop offers an ecstatic trip to senses as you delight your taste, nose and eyes with the amazing variety of marzipan edible figures, candies and chocolates. If you bring your children they can build their own marzipan figures for only 4euros! There is a museum under the shop with large colorful figures made from marzipan!

The popularity of marzipan lies in the history of Reval as Tallinn was then called. It was part of the Northern Hansa towns through which goods moved efficiently, also the recipe for marzipan from Lubeck. You can buy the sweet here, enjoy it with a cup of coffee, model or paint it yourself and finally visit the exhibition of larger figurines in the basement.

Just wandering down the cobblestone street of Tallinn when we saw this amazing shop/Gallery! Went in and was blown away by all the Marzipan sculptures! We were told to go downstairs and have a look around as well. There we encountered more sculptures... Life size, cartoon characters, buildings, animals... Worth the time to go and see!

Difficult to resist a small sample of various flavors of marzipan, so stopped in for a snack and drink. Upstairs were groups of little kids making marzipan shapes. Downstairs was the "museum" of lots of marzipan figures. Still, I will remember it as the only marzipan museum I have been to and it was free, so I have to like that.
